January is Caricature Resolution Month. Caricaturists from across the globe are given a list of celebrities to draw each day of the month. It’s an exercise in creativity and a time to appreciate and explore everyone’s unique style of drawing. This has been my first year to take part in Caricature Resolution; last spring famed MAD Magazine caricaturist Tom Richmond started what he dubbed “Coronacatures,” and provided a daily challenge of celebrities to illustrate during the early days of the COVID pandemic.
It’s been a fantastic challenge to develop my caricature skills and fine tune my processes. Below are some of the caricatures I have illustrated for Caricature Resolution Month.
